Class of 2026 Graduation

What time does Faller Field (MHS Stadium) open for the graduation ceremony?  
8:30 AM

Are bags permitted inside Faller Field (MHS Stadium)?
No. There is a strict “No Bag” policy for events. There will be no exceptions made to this policy.

Can I bring balloons/signs/noisemakers to celebrate my graduate?
None of the items listed will be permitted inside the gates at Faller Field. Please read the "Prohibited Items and Security Reminders" section for a full list of prohibited items.

Do siblings/friends/children need a ticket to attend?  
Anyone over the age of 2 will need a ticket to enter the stadium for the ceremony. Children under 2 years old may enter without a ticket and will need to sit on an adult's lap throughout the duration of the ceremony.

Are food/beverages allowed?
No outside food is permitted. Guests can bring a sealed, clear water bottle, but vessles such as Stanleys, metal bottles, etc. are not allowed.

Are families allowed on the track?
Not during the ceremony, but families and friends are welcome to visit with their scholars on the field and take photos after the ceremony.

What if there is inclement weather on graduation day?
If there are any changes to graduation, we will announce them on the district website and Facebook page.

Can graduates leave the ceremony after their names are read?
No. All scholars must stay for the entire ceremony.

Where do I park for the ceremony?
There will be limited parking available at Middletown High School.  Parking is on a first come, first serve basis.  There is reserved parking for individuals with special needs who hold a valid Handicapped Permit.   The parking lot at the HS will close once full or at 9 AM whichever occurs first.  

Where do I park if the High School lot is full?
There is overflow parking available at Orange County Fairgrounds. There will be shuttle service provided by Mid-City Transit from the Fair Grounds to the HS. You must have a graduation ticket in order to be eligible to board a shuttle to the HS campus. Individuals who do not have a graduation ticket will not be permitted to board a shuttle to the HS campus.

Graduates should be dropped off in the Upper Bus Loop.

10:00 a.m. - Ceremony begins

All graduates must remain in place until the conclusion of the ceremony.

Morning: Celebration

9:00 a.m. - Elementary Walk-thru
Graduates return to their elementary school to celebrate their journey, inspire the younger students, and thank the teachers who started it all.

11:00 a.m. - Senior Brunch
Activities include yearbook signing, senior shirts, and photos.

Afternoon: Business

12:00 p.m. - Mandatory Rehearsal

Clearance Checkpoint: You must meet all academic and behavioral goals to participate.
Note: Rehearsal attendance alone does not guarantee graduation.

The parking is located at the Orange County Fair Speedway (the fairgrounds), off the end of Wisner Ave. - where cars usually park and spectators remain during the races. (Near the medical building).

The following items are prohibited from the graduation venue, Faller Field. There are no exceptions.

• Reusable water bottles (sealed, clear water bottles are allowed)
• Backpacks
• Fanny Packs
• Umbrellas (only umbrellas that are 12" or smaller when compacted are allowed)
• Purses/Cross body bags (including clear)
• String Bags
• Diaper Bags
• Messenger Bags
• Camera Bags/Cases
• Briefcases
• Balloons 
• Inflatable Balls
• Signs
• Noisemakers
• Weapons, firearms, or pocket knives

All guests will go through security checkpoints upon entrance to Faller Field.

Guests are asked to have their keys, wallets and phones out of their pockets upon arrival at the security checkpoints and jackets should be unzipped.  Items should be placed into the security bins before passing through metal detectors. Arrive early to account for screening time.

Compact umbrellas are allowed in the venue ( Under 12 “ when compacted).  Guests must walk through metal detector with umbrella subject to inspection.

Caps and gowns orders have been completed with guidance counselors in the fall. Cap and gowns will be distributed on Monday, June 15, following the mandatory graduation meeting. The package will include a blue cap, blue gown, and a 2026 tassel.

Graduates can decorate caps with school-appropriate messages. If a cap is deemed inappropriate, the graduate will NOT be permitted to wear it during the ceremony.

Do not iron the gowns. Use steam only. Irons will permanently melt the fabric.
Do not lose your tassel.

Clothing

• Formal Ceremony = Formal Dress
• “Nice” Shirt & Slacks
• Dress or skirt of appropriate length
• Consider wearing breathable clothing - it will be hot

Footwear (Strictly Enforced)

• NO Flip Flops
• NO Stilettos 
• Flats ONLY.
• Heels are banned because they are highly unsafe on the field flooring and will cause tripping.
• Bring extra shoes if you are unsure

Caps and Gowns

• Gowns must be completely zipped at all times
• Tassle is worn on the RIGHT side.

Make sure to hydrate! Drink water before and during the event to manage heat.

Graduates will only recieve their diploma cover at the graduation ceremony. Diploma certificates will be distributed following the ceremony in the MHS small gym. Diplomas will be sorted alphabetically for quick pickup.

Any diplomas not picked up the day of graduation will be available for pick up at the high school.

Ticket distribution is on Thursday, June 25, following the mandatory graduation rehearsal. Every graduate will receive five (5) tickets.

No additional tickets may be purchased.
